CASUPO — Local Undercover

Tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do:

I am a Venezuelan designer who works hard while also enjoying everyday to the max. I own a leather accessories and face mask business called CASUPO.

Let us know more about your business name - how did you come up with it?

CASUPO is the name of a beautiful mountain in my hometown of Valencia, Venezuela. It is a tribute to my roots and our efforts to make eco conscious choices when it comes to sourcing responsible materials and also giving back to our community.

What is your signature style / item? How did it become so?

Our new line of face masks have become our signature style of 2020. They are made to last with comfort and versatility in mind.

What makes your business unique to the industry?

We design products with sustainable materials and we also give back a portion of our profits to FUNDANICA, a non-profit foundation that provides medical assistance to children with cancer in Venezuela.

How has your business had to adapt amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic? What are you doing to navigate the situation?

We made a whole line of thoughtful designed and made face masks and accessories and our brand has been very successful ever since we had to pivot.

What is your favorite part of what you do?

Making my customers happy with the purchase and their experience. I missed doing in person events where I could chat with customers and create relationships with them but now we have a great flow on happy customer emails.

I enjoy chai lattes at Steelhead Coffee, I love to do pottery at Clay in Long Beach and I enjoy going to the beach and surfing with my friend Adam from The Poster List.
