Tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do:

Love: Love & Snow

Love: Love & Snow

My initial entry into the world of essential oils and herbal ingredients occurred over 15 years ago.  A natural enthusiast, through continuous study, research, training, and experience I began to see and understand how un-adulterated, quality organic ingredients can naturally support optimal body functioning; providing benefits and relief in a way I had been previously unaware.  Over the years of being involved in formulation, education, and business operations, along with Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Clinical Psychology and Public Health, the need to create arose.

Out of my own never ending frustration and being fed up with all the new hair care products that only delivered broken promise, Love decided to put her years of developed essential oil expertise to use and create her own solutions.  The focus was on ingredients that would address frustrating scalp issues and help strengthen hair, without leaving a greasy oily mess behind.

This journey evolved into the creation of Love & Snow, a product line focused on the fundamental for hair and scalp health, period.  Creating effective, multi-tasking products for all hair types and textures.

Let us know more about your business name - how did you come up with it?

Love & Snow are the names of myself and my baby sister.  There is a 25 year age difference between us.  Creating product that would really help people was really important to me; so I decided to name the line after one of the relationships that was important and special to me.

What is your signature style / item? How did it become so?

The signature item in the Love & Snow line is the Restorative Hair and Scalp Serum.  The serum was the first product we launched.  It is the most versatile in terms of use and the recommended starting place for anyone exploring Love & Snow for the first time.

What makes your business unique to the industry?

Love & Snow is unique in the sense that the product not only works for every hair type and texture, but results can be seen and felt after the first experience.  The quickness of how well the product works is what makes doing demos on new potential customers such a joy!  Products are also designed to truly repair, which means your experience just gets better with time.

What's been your biggest roadblock when it comes to business and how have you been able to overcome?

The biggest roadblock has been the frustrating experiences everyone has had with hair products in the past.  It can be a challenge to trust something new when you have spent so much money in the past and been disappointed with the results.

I work to overcome this with a business communication model that acknowledges this very real frustration.  Education that helps individuals understand why they experienced what they did, and how Love & Snow specifically addresses those issues.  It takes a lot of tenacity, persistence, and true belief in the reason why I started my business.

How has your business had to adapt amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic? What are you doing to navigate the situation?

As a result of the pandemic business has had to move to being predominately digital.  Our online presences has been part of a multi-prong business plan, not the dominant part of the plan.

We have approached this by connecting better with videos answering most frequent questions and increased interactions on social platforms.  We have just launched free virtual consults via Zoom where customers and potential customers can schedule a session to ask questions about product and usage before and after a purchase.

What is your favorite part of what you do?

#1 is connecting with people and helping them find effective solutions in the Love & Snow product line, and beyond, for long time frustrations.  The #2 favorite is making and creating new product.

What is your *must do* local activity?

When I have been able to carve out some time hiking in Griffith Park has been one of my favorite things to do.
