Influenced by imagery from the 50s and 60s, I create scenes with the dolls in studio that have a sense of whimsy mixed with a little sarcasm. I think what makes my work and experiences compelling is that it's not always just about the planner, the calligraphy, the paint - but what it means about us. I create an experience that helps us find joy in the mess, the difficulty of experimentation and letting go of perfectionism and impatience. There's a story and experience with it.

My uniqueness isn't in the art alone, but in the culmination of my artistic style, my voice, and my point of view. I also believe every artist is unique for the same reasons, as no two people have walked the same path in life to get to where they are. With a lot of time and trial and error, and persistence, I think we can all find our unique place in the industry.
